Summary from Goodreads (here):
This was the summer that would change my life. No more being what everyone expected. No more doing what everyone else wanted.
So when Luke came into my life, I decided to keep him a secret. Maybe he as a dead-ringer for notorious Hollywood bad boy Trent Yves. And it was possible that everything he told me was a lie. And yes, I was probably asking for trouble.
But all I saw was Luke--sweet, funny, caring--someone who would let me be the real me. But which was the real him?

The Summer of No Regrets was such a fun, entertaining, and quick read for me. I hadn't picked it up when it came out last year because I wasn't much into the hollywood bad boy type of reads back then. But after a year I've read tons of books and let more into my life. So why not give this one a try, right?! So I picked it up and WOAH. It was a lot more than what i expected, in a good way!
I loved the idea of a hollywood bad boy falling for the girl next door. But in this case it was a bit different. The girl, Brigitta, has no idea he's famous. She just think's Luke is a cute, nice guy from next door. And although she's suspicious she believes him. And that little change makes this story all that more different and good :)
What I loved about this book was that I could connect to Brigitta in a lot of ways. She was a blogger, all be it secretly, but still a blogger :) She was also trying to find her religion, which really opened up the book and let me see other types of religions-ideas. She also thought the deepest things! Like:
The cougar's vacant face gazed from that photo. She'd been so alive. And in that moment of her aliveness, I'd been about to die. How could death and life be sister's like that?
See deep! She was also getting over a heartbreak, kinda. She had been "in love" with her best friend but things ended awkwardly and broke there friendship. So when she meet Luke I think she was trying to forget but she also realized that she hadn't been in love before. Which was a nice epiphany for the MC to have because it shows me she's growing, like any normal girl like would :)
Oh yeah I'm forgetting, the twists and her family! There are a few twists that i hadn't even thought would be in the book, like baby cougars!! :3 so adorable! I think that little detail really brought Brigitta and Luke closer. If not for that I wouldn't have seemed real or likely they would have spent time together. Also Brigitta has to deal with a lot of family issues. Like her father, whom was her friend and then turned shaman after grandparents death. There's so many voices telling her what to do in her life that it's crazy! On a side note here I LOVED LOVED LOVED Brigitta's friend Natalie! She was so funny and I do believe there are people like her around *cough, my sister, cough*
Now I don't wanna spoil anything but in the end things get CRAZY before they get better. Brigitta finds her religion and her father comes back to reality and things with Luke clear. Although I liked the ending I was not appeased with the last scene, it was so open ended! ARH! But yet SO SWEET >_< Why do you confuse me!?! I know there won't be a book 2 but i wish there was! The book ends with a blog post interview of Brigitta and Luke!! It was so cute and the commenters were her sister and Natalie. It was a touching way to end it all since the book starts with a blog post too XD

A cute, fun, light read that was surprisingly DEEP! Great for the summer and I highly recommend to those who love hollywood romances with a twist :D I REALLY LIKED THIS, so i'm giving it 3.5 out of 5 STARS!
